Cauliflower Steak with Beurre Noisette and Cracker Crumbs


This is a such simple dish to make. Three ingredients: cauliflower, butter, and cracker crumbs.

The drizzle of Beurre noisette (browned butter) with crunchy cracker crumbs gives a toasty contrast in the texture and the flavors.

A steamer, we prefer stainless ones.
A medium size frying pan
Spatula


Tips & Tricks

Use a pork and poke into the cauliflower. When it is easy to poke into the cauliflower, then it is ready to be removed from the steamer.

Cauliflower Steak with Beurre Noisette and Cracker Crumbs

Serves: 2 Cooking Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • Cauliflower, rinsed and cut two 1 “ thick slices
  • 3 tbsp. Butter
  • 1 tbsp. Cracker crumbs or bread crumbs

Instructions

Steam the cauliflower in the steamer for about 20 minutes or until it starts to become soft.

Remove from steamer and place it on a serving plate.

Head the frying pan with medium low heat.

Add butter and cracker crumbs

Brown the butter and cracker crumbs

To brown the butter, simply cook the butter with medium low heat. When butter bubbles and just about to start to smoke, turn off the heat and remove from the pan.

Drizzle butter over steamed cauliflower and serve.
