Here is the recipe to make the Red Wine Pulled Pork with Spices

To make the mashed sweet potato spread, simply use the craved out sweet potato flesh from this recipe to make the spread.

Shopping List

Buckwheat flour
All purposed flour
Eggs
Butter
Chives
Parsley
Salt and black pepper to taste


Tool List

A large nonstick pan, we prefer cast iron pan
A spatula
A large bowl for mixing the flour batter
A small sauce spoon to scope batter into the pan for cooking


Recipe

Red Wine Pulled Pork Galette Tacos


Print Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup Buckwheat flour
1/4 cup All purpose flour
3 Eggs
4 tbsp Butter
A bunch of chives, chopped
A bunch of parsley, chopped
Salt and black pepper to taste

Steps

In the large mixing bowl, whisk eggs and 1 1/2 cut water together.
Sift both buckwheat and all purpose flour in the wet mixture.
Add sale and pepper to taste
Heat the large nonstick pan with medium high heat.
When the pan is hot and not smoking, turn the heat to low and add butter
Pour in a scoop of batter.
Very quickly, tilt and swirl the pan a little to distribute the batter
Cook until lightly brown and flip to cook the other side until it turned lightly brown.
Place the cooked galette tacos in a tray or a large plate.
Spread a thing layer of the mashed sweet potatoes each galette taco.
Add pulled pork
Garnish with herbs, salt and pepper and serve.


Tips & Tricks

Make sure the pan is hot enough and will not burn the butter before drop in the butter and the batter.

The more even the pan cooks, the easier it is to cook and flip the galetta tacos. They will also look better.

Keep the cooked galette in a warm oven to keep the galette tacos warm. Place a bowl of water at the oven lower rack will keep them stay moist.

  • ------- To make the galette tacos -------
  • 1 cup Buckwheat flour
